What began as a Korean innovation is now a multi-billion-dollar IP engine, with a single original story capable of spinning off into streaming series, films, games, and merchandise.
Magnet Global Ventures exists to connect this global opportunity to emerging creative talent around the world. Mobile-first storytelling, a young digital-native audience, and rapidly growing smartphone penetration across markets have created the conditions for webtoons to become a truly global content category — and we are building the infrastructure, education, and industry pathways to make that happen.
What We Do
Webtoon Creator Education Through our Webtoon Academy — developed in partnership with the Korea Webtoon Masters Academy (KWMA) and leading Korean webtoon studios — we deliver a structured, industry-aligned curriculum that takes students from foundational storytelling and digital drawing through professional portfolio development and pitching. The program spans Foundation, Intermediate, and Advanced tracks, is 100% deliverable on a flexible digital platform, and leads to a Global Dual Certification jointly awarded by KWMA and each local partner institution — giving graduates credibility recognized by the international webtoon industry.
Industry-Ready Curriculum Our courses combine practice-oriented instruction from professional webtoon artists with training in storytelling, illustration, digital tools, webtoon planning, copyright, and contracts — equipping students not just to draw, but to produce publishable, market-ready work. Career pathways developed through the program include Concept Artist, Webtoon Writer, Character Designer, Webtoon Planning Expert, and more, in a field where creator incomes are already outpacing many traditional professions.
Global Platform Access and IP Development Graduates and partner-institution students gain direct lines to Korean studio mentorship, publishing opportunities on major platforms, and international competitions and exchange programs. Beyond individual creator training, we support the development of original webtoon IP with an eye toward its full commercial lifecycle — from original story to streaming adaptation, film, gaming, and licensed merchandise.
Institutional Partnerships We partner with schools, colleges, and universities in target markets worldwide to co-develop and operate localized Webtoon Academy programs. We bring the globally benchmarked curriculum, Korean industry faculty and mentorship, and platform access; our partner institutions bring infrastructure, student ecosystem, and on-ground academic integration. Together, we deliver a scalable, low-capex program under a joint international certification framework — helping institutions differentiate in a competitive education market while opening new, creator-led career paths for their students.
